Who are we?
Outlands
Outlands Project was started in January 2020 by a group of mates who wanted a different vibe to the traditional cycling club, but still wear the same jersey and stop regularly for banging coffee. It didn’t take long to become more than we ever thought it would be…
Now three years down the line, 2 custom kits deep, ££££s raised for charity, cappuccino’s drank all over the North and more pizza eaten than you could imagine, (thanks Fausto), the club is going from strength to strength.
With the support of our fantastic sponsors, the start of 2023 has been busy and brilliant.
Hosting our first ever Zwift Racing night at CrossFit CLS, off road and MTB events, signing up or first female rider, starting a coffee club for casual riders and releasing our Outlands hoodie and hat combo have been some of the highlights. Doing stuff no other club does.
I told you we have been busy.
Now that spring is just about here, club nights will be back with a vengeance and we have some awesome stuff lined for the summer.
How does a 100 mile chain gang ride sound? Or a day at Nissans test track? Or maybe a go kart track crit race is your vibe..?
Ah, go on then. Let’s do it all!
You really do need to keep your eyes peeled and make sure you follow us on insta.
Coffee Club
The new Outlands Coffee Club is aimed at cyclists that want something a bit more casual. A steady pace, lots of chat and a proper coffee stop with a huge slice. These rides are generally every couple of weeks on a Saturday and are a great way of meeting new people while getting out on the open road.
It’s open to all abilities of rider and the route is usually a flat 10km starting at Faustos at Roker. We have sorted loyalty cards with loads of perks for Coffee Club members. You don’t want to miss out!
The Coffee Club have their own jersey too which is an absolute work of art.
Anyway, that’s enough from me. Cya on the road.
